MONTGOMERY, TILMON L.

CANA - Mr. Tilmon Lewis Montgomery, age 72 of Route 1, Cana, passed away in Laurel Meadow Nursing Home, Laurel Fork, Friday. He was born July 30, 1919, in Ohio, the son of the late Ota Montgomery and Ona Rosetta Nester Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie Montgomery; four daughters, Mrs. Jean Handy, Martinsville; Mrs. Marlene Tipton, Cana; Mrs. Lois Warren, Martinsville; Miss Karen Montgomery, Staunton; two sons, Mr. Lewis Montgomery, Martinsville; Mr. Lonnie Montgomery, Boones Mill; four sisters, Mae Sweeney, Adelphi, Md.; Mrs. Kenny (Mildred) Vermillion, Silver Springs, Md.; Mrs. Mabel McGeehan, Beltsville, Md.; Mrs. Elmon (Janette) Thompson, Dougspur; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday 2:00 p.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Elmon Thompson and the Rev. Allen Thompson officiating with interment to follow in Crooked Oak Cemetery at Laurel Fork. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home, Hillsville.
