Miss Clara Ann Spurlock, of 1716 Empress Drive, died Saturday. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Alice Spurlock; two brothers, James B. Spurlock, Jr., and wife, Nancy, Richmond; Edward Spurlock and wife, Betty, Roanoke; two sisters, Mrs. Brenda S. Hurt and husband, Roger, Roanoke; Mrs. Janet S. Duckett and husband, James, Virginia Beach; three aunts, Mrs. Sarah Wingfield, Mrs. Lillian Reese, Mrs. Rachel Brown, all of Roanoke; cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, services will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlar-Curtis Chapel. Dr. J. Eugene Young will officiate. Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Fincastle. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
