61 JOURNALISTS KILLED WORLDWIDE IN 1991

A record 1,264 attacks against journalists last year, including 61 killings, prove that a break in Cold War conflicts does not guarantee reporters' safety, a press organization said Monday.

The Committee to Protect Journalists, in its annual report, said 61 journalists in 18 countries were killed and five others are missing and feared dead.
