BUCHANAN, RAYMOND E., SR. Raymond Edward Buchanan, Sr., age 74, of Salem,
died Tuesday. He was a retired Superintendent of Transportation for the
Norfolk & Western Railroad with 40 years service. He is survived by his wife,
Ruth H. Buchanan; his son, Raymond E. (Buck) Buchanan, Jr., Blue Ridge; his
daughters, Donna L. Buchanan and Rebecca B. Jones, both of Salem; a brother,
John J. Buchanan, Norfolk. Private family services will be held. In lieu of
flowers memorials may be made to REBOS, 4331 Garst Mill Road, Roanoke, Va.
24018. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Lotz Funeral Home in
Salem.
