FERRUM WINS 16TH GAME IN A ROUT

Ferrum scored seven runs in the second inning Friday on the way to a 15-1 trouncing of High Point in college baseball.

Eric Owens and Gerald Smith each went 4-for-5 with three runs batted in for the Panthers (16-0). Owens cracked a three-run home run in the second-inning uprising.
