PULASKI PTA TO GET PROBLEMS UPDATE

The Pulaski County High School PTA will update its members at 7:30 p.m. Monday on handling substance abuse and other problems that plague young people.

Gina Miano, coordinator of the school's student-family counseling center, will speak about signs, symptoms and treatments for suicide and depression.

Cindy Watson, 12th-grade counselor, will talk about handling student problems with alcohol and other drugs. She also will provide information on a recent high school survey on substance abuse.

Miano and Watson also addressed the PTA at its December meeting. - New River Valley Bureau
