OBIT NANCE, GLADYS BROOKS CAMPBELL

NANCE, Gladys Brooks Campbell, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, March 17, 1993 in a Salem hospital. She was a member of Raleigh Court United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Littleton Nance Jr., Roanoke; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol C. and Richard Lajoie, Westland, Mich., Linda C. and Larry Hewitt, Glen Burnie, Md.; five grandchildren, Mark, Melissa, and Matthew Holland, Michael and Erin Hewitt; three sisters, Miss Sylvia Brooks, Blackstone, Va., Mrs. Thelma Clingenpeel, Roanoke, Mrs. Pauline McGeorge, Roanoke. A service of Death and Resurrection will be held at Oakey's South Chapel, 11:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dr. Gregory L. Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at Oakey's South Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
