E&H `HOMECOMING' TO BE SUNG TUESDAY

The Concert Choir of Emory & Henry College will give its annual "Homecoming" performance at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Chapel.

This first performance after completing a 10-day spring tour serves as a "welcome home" for the 42-member student group.

The choir was founded in 1958 by Charles R. Davis, a professor of music at the college, who still directs it.

The concert will have motets from five centuries; parts of larger choral works by Handel, Bach, Rutter and Dubois; excerpts from operas by Mozart, Wagner and Bizet prepared specifically for the choir, and a group of spirituals. Admission is free. - Southwest bureau
