MARTIN-HAWKINS

Susan Blair Hawkins and WilliamGordon Martin, Jr., were married on March 20, 1993, at Second Presbyterian Church. Dr. William R. Klein and theReverend E. Dudley Colhoun, uncle of the groom, officiated the ceremony. The reception was held at Roanoke Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Carol Manuel Hawkins and Mr. William Frame Hawkins, of Roanoke. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. William GordonMartin, of Roanoke.

The maid of honor was Anne Stuart Hawkins, of Lakeville, Conn., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Elizabeth Clark, of Roanoke; Anne Johnston Douthat, of Charlottesville, Va.; Emily Clark Dupree, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; Ann Smeltzer Fulton, of Hagerstown, Md.; and Virginia Travis Shackelford, of Richmond, Va.

The best man was Dr. William Gordon Martin, father of the groom. Groomsmen were David Hamilton Martin, of Fredericksburg, Va., brother of the groom; Frank Alger Boxley, Jr., of Roanoke; Marc Sabel Fink, of Roanoke; William Douglas Goldsmith, of Roanoke; and Thomas John Petrou, of Tampa, Fla.

The bride is a graduate of North Cross School and the University of Georgia. She is employed by Healthcare Interiors. The groom graduated from North Cross School and attended the University of Richmond. He is employed by Revcar Fasteners of Roanoke.

Following a wedding trip, the couple will make their home in Roanoke.
