OBIT NEWBY, JAMES FRANKLIN

NEWBY, James Franklin, 55, of Piney Woods Road, Christiansburg, died Friday, March 19, 1993, at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville. He is survived by his mother and father, Susie E. and Morris A. Jones, Christiansburg; one daughter, Pamiela Berke, Chattanooga, Tenn.; three brothers, John E. Newby, Richard L. Newby, Roger L. Jones, all of Christiansburg; three sisters, Shirley J. Jones, Pittsboro, N.C., Linda R. Scott, Susie H. Baugh, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Mr. Phillip Newby with burial in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. only at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
