COMIC-BOOK WRITER TO APPEAR IN BRISTOL

Comic book writer Charles Moore will visit Mountain Empire Comics from noon to 4 p.m. today at 509 State St. to give autographs and chat with comics fans.

He has written comics based on "DragonLance" and "Doc Savage." Most recently he and his wife, Lisa, wrote "Dominque," a comic inspired by the movie "La Femme Nikita." He will be writing stories on "Green Lantern" and "Predator" this summer.

Moore also is seeking artists for a new anthology comic series from Caliber Press called "Negative Burn." Aspiring artists can bring samples of their work to his signing. - Southwest bureau
