THE WILLIAM FLEMING HIGH SCHOOL CHESS TEAM placed third in the Virginia Interstate Tournament, held recently in Pulaski.

\ AMY PARKER, a senior at William Fleming High School, recently was named Lewis-Gale Hospital's Outstanding Youth Volunteer for 1992. She has donated more than 600 hours of service. Lewis-Gale gave Parker a plaque and a service pin.
