A CHILDREN'S IMMUNIZATION CLINIC is being sponsored by Riverland Road Baptist Church and the Roanoke Health Department next week.
The free clinic will be held at the church, 459 Riverland Road S.E., from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday for children ages 2 months to 5 years.
The Rev. Tom Foley, pastor of the church, said standard childhood immunizations will be offered, including all those required for children before they can attend school.
The clinic is limited to city residents only and parents are required to bring their children's immunization records.
Those wishing to participate must leave a message at the church by calling 343-4043 by Sunday to register.
\ CHURCH WOMEN UNITED, a Roanoke Valley group to promote ecumenical and interracial understanding, will hear Kaye Hale at its annual meeting Friday at Christ Lutheran Church. Hale is director of West End Center, a ministry to inner-city residents. The center is moving to a renovated Patterson Avenue restaurant.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. with registration at the church on Grandin Road at Brandon Avenue Southwest.
