SWAT INDIVIDUALS SCORE AT SWIM MEET
Fourteen swimmers from the Southwest Aquatic Team - SWAT - won at least one event in a recent meet between SWAT and the Capital YMCA team from Raleigh, N.C.
Will Brunner and Grant Throckmorton each won three races. Brunner captured the 100-meter individual medley, the 25 freestyle and the 50 butterfly in the 8-and-under age group.
Throckmorton won the 50 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 50 backstroke, also in the 8-and-under group.
Double winners included Rickie Jennings (200 and 400 individual medley, 15 and over), Brian Manning (50 freestyle and 200 backstroke, 15 and over), Graham Gravley (200 back and 200 butterfly, 13-14) and Cole Throckmorton (50 breaststroke and 50 backstroke, 9-10). Capital defeated SWAT 472-304 in the meet.
