NEW ADDRESS SYSTEM FOR PULASKI RESIDENTS

Pulaski county residents being served by the Radford Post Office will become the first users of the county's new address system.

Letters will be mailed Feb. 15 to all county residents who have a Radford rural-route address, providing written notification of the four-digit number assigned to each residence and business. It will include instructions on how to use and display the numbers.

Residents can begin using their new address upon receiving the letters. Residents are encouraged to display their new address as soon as possible so the numbers can be seen from the road. Residents have one year after notification to complete their change of address.

These new addresses are tied to the county 911 system, which makes for faster fire, rescue and police assistance. Call 980-7710.
