FOR THE RECORD

Correction A story in Thursday's paper about a Virginia state trooper killed in Prince William County Wednesday was incorrect in reporting the last state trooper killed in the line of duty. The last trooper killed while on duty was Jerry Hines, who was shot during a traffic stop in 1989 on Interstate 81 near Lexington.
