DON'T MISREPRESENT FACTS OF `CHOICE'

IN RESPONSE to Jane Bender's April 11 letter to the editor (" `Choice' bill won't encourage abortions"), I suggest she read her own letter and see the clever language of the Freedom of Choice Act. "A State may restrict" also allows states to not restrict.

Life or health of a woman has been ruled by the Supreme Court to be anything a woman calls it, including inconvenience of having carried a pregnancy to term. A parent or other responsible adult means an abortionist can give so-called counseling. Since an institution is not an individual, any hospital or clinic will be forced to perform abortions.

Those poor, misguided souls who support abortion, homosexual rights and other "politically correct" stances have a constitutional right to their opinions. Please don't represent them as facts; they are not. TONY V. CHAPMAN ROANOKE
