WYTHE HOSPITAL HIRES ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR

Wythe County Community Hospital has hired Matthew J. Perry, formerly director of quality improvement for Carilion Health System in Roanoke, as assistant administrator starting Saturday.

At Carilion, Perry worked closely with hospital chief executive officers and quality executives as an adviser and consultant. He directed a systemwide implementation of quality management and planning.

He has been with Carilion since 1988. He started as a financial analyst, then became management analyst and quality leadership program coordinator before becoming quality improvement director in 1991. - Southwest bureau
