NAMES ON CAMPUS

Student leaders named to Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges include KATHERINE LYNDE and SANDY PHILLIPS of Blacksburg; GENEVA COX of Christiansburg; DORIS RICHARDSON COOK and MICHAEL TODD COVEY of Dublin; RUBY GALLAGHER of Newport; LARRY FALLS and ERIC ACHENKEL of Pembroke; and JOSEPH HAYES, LaRHONDA LEWIS and GUY WENDELL POTTER of Radford.

A cooperative effort between ROBERT LOWRY's marketing-research class and the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce resulted in the assessment of training needs for small businesses in the county. A survey was developed and conducted by the class. The results then were tabulated and interpreted by the students.

MANDY EPPERLY is the recipient of the L.T. Dudley Memorial Scholarship for $1,000. She is the daughter of Linda Brown and Mike Epperly.

Several students were chosen as outstanding students in a curriculum for their academic standing and college and community service. KATHERINE LYNDE and SHEILA LAWSON of Blacksburg; EDNA LEONARD of Dublin; JENNIFER REPASS of Pulaski; DANIEL GREER and JOSEPH HAYES of Radford; and STEPHEN HENLEY and JAMES UMBERGER from Wytheville were among those honored.

GINA ROSE of Maybrook in Giles County was named to the dean's list for the spring semester with a grade-point average of 3.4 and a major in registered nursing. New River Community College offers a cooperative four-semester associate degree nursing program with Wytheville Community College.
