OBIT JOHNSON, A. GLEN

JOHNSON, A. Glen, 84, of Glade Spring, died Sunday, June 6, 1993, in Malin Health Care Center in Wytheville. He was a native of Ash County, N.C., a retired farmer, and a retired employee of the Va. Department of Highway Transportation. He was a member of the Rock Spring Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth S. Johnson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Glen and Betty Johnson, Abingdon, Thomas E. and Debbie Johnson, Bristol; three daughters, Mrs. Bill (Dorothy) Mullins, Mrs. Ray (Katherine Faye) Jones, both of Roanoke, Mrs. Dan (Peggy) Tuggle, Newark, Dele.; one brother, Delmar C. Johnson, Damascus; two sisters, Vonnie J. Wilson and Floie Bryant, both of Lodi; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Rutherford of Tennessee, and Kate Sheffield, Bristol; a brother-in-law, Charlie Wilson, Lodi; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mahlon Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Rock Spring Cemetery Fund, c/o Mr. Bob Preston, Route 1, Meadowview, Va., 24361.
