PULASKI COUNTY HIGH BAND RECOGNIZED

The Pulaski County High School Band has been recognized by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association as a Virginia Honor Band for 1992-93.

It is the highest honor a high school band can receive in Virginia, and goes only to schools earning a superior rating at both the VBODA State Marching Festival and District Band Festival.

Pulaski County had one of only 27 bands in the state to get the award in 1992-93.

The Pulaski County School Board Tuesday night gave its own award, the Golden Apple, to Bob Priest, the band's director, for his work with the student musicians over the years.
