OBIT REYNOLDS, VIRGINIA MANESS

REYNOLDS, Virginia Maness, 76, of Salem, died Wednesday, June 16, 1993, in a Salem hospital. She was a member of Raleigh Court United Methodist Church, and the Colonel William Preston Chapter of the D.A.R. She worked with many garden clubs, loved plants and flowers, and loved to play bridge. Surviving are her husband, Paul E. Reynolds, Salem; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan R. and Kenneth D. Bowen, Salem, Linda R. and Charles W. Murray, Boones Mill; one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip W. and Patricia C. Reynolds, Daleville; one sister, Mrs. M. A. (Elsie) Smythe Jr., Salem; six grandchildren, Paul E. Reynolds II, Jennifer A. Reynolds, Kenneth D. Bowen Jr. and wife, Nikki, Chris Bowen, Michael Bowen, Kristin Ashley Murray; great-grandson, Branden L. Bowen; three nieces and one nephew, Judy Martin, Lynne Lorch, Carole Whitney, John Gilbert. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's South Chapel, 11 a.m. Friday, by Dr. Harry Y. Gamble. Burial in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salem Rescue Squad, Salvation Army, or the Rescue Mission. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
