OBIT BOGLE, MARY FRANKLIN
BOGLE, Mary Franklin, 65, of Mechanicsburg, died Tuesday, June 15, 1993, in
the Wythe County Community Hospital. She was born in Mechanicsburg on December
2, 1927, the daughter of the late Andrew W. and Pearl Baker Franklin. She
worked for many years in the Bland High School cafeteria and was an employee
of A.B.B. Transformers and Switchgear in Bland until retirement and was
preceded in death by her husband, James D. Bogle; a sister, Nell F. Gordon;
and a brother, Bill S. Franklin. She is survived by two sons, Danny F. Bogle
of Bland, Phillip J. Bogle of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother and sister-in-law,
David W. and Louise Franklin of Richmond; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, 1993, at noon, in the
Newberry Funeral Home Chapel, Bland. Interment will follow in the
Mechanicsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Newberry
Funeral Home, Thursday, June 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. Newberry Funeral Home,
Bland, is in charge of the arrangements.
