OBIT FREEMAN, PAUL EDGAR, REV. AND REBECCA

FREEMAN, Paul Edgar, Rev., 85, and his wife, FREEMAN, Rebecca Ethel Scarborough, 76, of Rt. 4, Wytheville, the Windy Way subdivision, died from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was a pastor and evangelist with the Church of Christ in Christian Union for more than thirty-two years. They are survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Lois and William Weaver, Westminister, Md., Ruth Marie Freeman, Allentown, Pa.; one son and daughter-in-law, David Johnathan and Linda Freeman, Westminister, Md.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Rev. Freeman is also survived by a sister, Verna Dixon, Danville. Mrs. Freeman is also survived by four sisters, Pauline Spry, Pearl Zeveney, both of Elkton, Md., Alberta Halsey, Pompano Beach, Fla., Doris Lemon, Wilmington, Del. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 18, 1993, at 11 a.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Norman and the Rev. Harold Coleman officiating. The family suggests that those who prefer may make memorials to the Good Shepherd Home, 6th & St. John's St., Allentown, Pa. 18103. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of arrangements.
