THE COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES has announced several faculty promotions.

Rebecca C. Clark and Virginia R. Vorst, registered nurses from Salem, have been promoted to associate professor of nursing. Vorst also serves as second-level coordinator for the nursing education program.

Glen R. Mayhew of Bedford has been promoted to assistant professor of emergency health sciences. Mayhew also is director of the Emergency Health Care Training Center.

Nancy Seamans, learning resource director from Roanoke, has been approved as a senior member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals of the Medical Library Association.

\ CAROLE R. MASSART, science department chairwoman at William Fleming High School, has been selected as Outstanding Secondary Teacher in Virginia by the Curry School of Education Foundation at the University of Virginia.

\ J. ANDREW BOWMAN, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Bowman of Roanoke, received a doctor of pharmacy degree from Campbell University School of Pharmacy in Buies Creek, N.C.

Bowman, who also was named to the spring semester dean's list, had an article on the drug Ritalin published in the November issue of the U.S. Pharmacist Journal.
