Radford University is considering offering its master's degree program in criminal justice in Roanoke, beginning in the spring semester of 1994.

Prospective applicants may attend an informational session July 15 to discuss admission requirements, programs of study, tuition rates and course scheduling. The meeting will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Roanoke County Police Department, 3568 Peters Creek Road.

Roanoke Catholic to open preschool

Roanoke Catholic School will open a preschool in September at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church in Roanoke County.

This will be the first preschool sponsored by Roanoke Catholic, whose school board has received numerous requests for a such a program.

The school will not be limited to Catholics.

Carole A. Popik, a teacher at First Presbyterian Preschool, will be the director and teacher of a five-day class.

Esther Knight, also of the First Presbyterian school, will teach the three-day program for 4-year-olds and the two-day program for 3-year-olds.
