PAINTER-MAUER

Kimberly Iris Mauer, of Roanoke, and Chris Allen Painter, of Salem, were united in marriage June 19, 1993, in Cave Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard L. Southern officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Sylvia and Don Feick and David and Alice Mauer, all of Roanoke. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ollie Wotton, of Raleigh, North Carolina. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Painter, of Salem, and the grandson of Mrs. Opal Herington, of Decatur, Illinois.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. A special reading was done by the bride's stepfather. Maid of honor was Pamela Feick, stepsister of the bride. Brittani Carter and Jessica Martin, nieces of the bridegroom, were flower girls. Carl Painter, father of the bridegroom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Robbie Hodges and Bradley McManaway, friends of the bridegroom. Adam Johnson, a family friend, was the ring bearer. The guest book attendant was Ruth Hutchinson. Organist was Joyce Tenant. Special soloist was Kelly Young, cousin of the bride, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Photography was provided by Paul Calhoun and Robert Leftwich. Video recording was done by Ray Forbes, of Roanoke, and Perry Forbes, of Smith Mountain Lake.

The reception followed in the fellowship hall of the church with music provided by harpist Elizabeth Dechent.

The bride is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Roanoke College. She is employed by Cellular One. The bridegroom is a graduate of Glenvar High School and attended West Virginia University. He is employed by Carilion Health Systems.

Following a honeymoon to the Cayman Islands, the newlyweds will reside in Roanoke.
