WINESETT-BOBBITT

GALAX - Martha Eugenia Bobbitt and Brandon Lee Winesett were united in marriage June 19, 1993, at Snow Hill Baptist Church, Galax, Virginia. The Reverend Eddie Beck performed the ceremony. A reception immediately followed in the church fellowship hall.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her brother, Steve Bobbitt of Roanoke. The maid of honor was April Kegley of Galax, friend of the bride. Deena Bobbitt of Roanoke, sister-in-law of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Alison Carter of Austinville, friend of the bride, and Jessica Miller of Hickory, N. C., niece of the groom.

The best man was Stan Kegley of Blacksburg, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Tommy Carrico of Galax, Trevor Watson of Galax, and Chris Smith of Hockessin, Del., all friends of the groom.

The wedding was directed by Susie Winesett of Galax, sister of the groom. Laura Patton of Fries, cousin of the bride, directed the reception. The guestbook was attended by Lisa Simmons of Mt. Airy, N. C., friend of the bride. Cheryl Walker of Galax provided the music. Soloist was Jana Hawks of Galax, cousin of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Betty H. Bobbitt of Galax and the late Garnett W. Bobbitt. She is a 1988 graduate of Galax High School and a 1992 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Marketing.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Irene G. Winesett of Galax and the late Billy Winesett. He is a 1988 graduate of Galax High School and a 1992 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is employed by Automotive Industries, Inc. in Covington. After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the couple will make their home in Covington.
