OBIT WILSON, CLAUDINE BLANKENSHIP

WILSON, Claudine Blankenship, ("Tootsie"), 65, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, June 21, 1993, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of Oakland Baptist Church and the Gleaners Sunday School class. She was a retired employee of C&P Telephone Co. She is survived by her husband, Corbin L. Wilson; two daughters, Pamela Wilson Provow, and husband, Kevin, Chesapeake, Dottie Wilson Wallace, and husband, Rick, Newport News; five grandchildren, Nancy Capps Lee and Melissa Capps, both of Norfolk; Bradley Provow, Chesapeake, Chad and Carlie Wallace, Newport News; her mother-in-law, Josie Wilson, Roanoke; numerous aunts; and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakland Baptist Church 2 p.m. Thursday, June 24, with the Rev. Kelly Dampeer officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to Oakland Baptist Church Hymnal Fund. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
