LEADERS SHOULD DELIVER ON PROMISES

ROANOKE officials say they need citizens' input concerning visions of expanded growth for our economy. My vision: When they ran for public office, they promised voters they would solve problems involving the economy, crime and education. They should do just that. Get to work!

Asking voters and others to help them solve the city's problems can create insecurity, feelings of helplessness, and yes, even lawlessness. What we need is decisive leadership. ZEMONE K. McMANAWAY ROANOKE
