VIRGINIANS WON'T BE FOOLED AGAIN

AS YOGI Berra once said, "It's deja vu all over again." The Democrats and liberal media are trying the same con game in Virginia that they foisted on America last year.

Then, they told us that they were "moderate," "mainstream," and "centrist." They said that Republicans are "intolerant," "extremist," and "far right." Last year, this campaign rhetoric fooled millions of voters. This year, they are trying to fool Virginians in the same way.

We see now that President Clinton and the Democrat-controlled Congress are tax-and-spend, pro-abortion, anti-military liberals who campaigned as moderates. In the past few months it has also become evident that the Democrats are the true extremists.

As expected, Mary Sue Terry, Don Beyer, Bill Dolan and the other Virginia Democratic candidates are campaigning now as mainstream centrists. However, the people of Virginia will not be fooled. Today's voters are too sophisticated to buy the deceitful name-calling game the Democrats played last year. It succeeded then, but it will fail now.
