PENNY-SMITH

Kimberly Dawn Smith and Steven Robert Penny were united in marriage on Saturday, April 17, in a candlelight ceremony at Central United Methodist Church in Radford. The Reverend Joseph Green officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Jerry Smith and Mrs. Jean Smith of Radford. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mattie Roop, also of Radford. The groom is the son of Col. James Penny and Mrs. Dorothy Penny of Virginia Beach. The groom's grandmother is Mrs. Dorothy Miles of Virginia Beach.

Sarah Smith of Radford served as her sister's maid of honor. Jodie Linkous of Disputanta, cousin of the bride, attended as bridesmaid. Carl McArn of Greensboro, N. C., friend of the groom, served as best man. The usher was Brad Williams of Frederick, Md.

Music was provided by organist Angela Connor-Gosney and soloist Melissa McDaniel, Beth Green of Radford directed the wedding. Helen Linkous, aunt of the bride, presided at the guest register.

The parents of the bride provided a reception for the couple after the ceremony in the Church Fellowship Hall. It was catered by Chris' Catering in Radford. Jill Linkous, cousin of the bride, served a wedding cake made by the bride's grandmother.

After a cruise to the Southern Caribbean, the couple will reside in Princeton, W. Va.
