THOMAS-MCCAIN

Jennifer Evelyn McCain and John Madison Thomas were married June 5, 1993 in First Presbyterian Church, Charleston, W. Va. by Dr. P. Douglas Heidt. The reception was held at Daniel Boone Ballroom of 405 Capitol Street. The matron of honor was Elisabeth McCain Bishop, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Kathryn Rugeley Easton, Patricia Susan Pollack, Anne Elise Thomas, Anne Wilhoit, Amy Miller, and Pamela Flores. The best man was Michael Gaw. The ushers were Michael Brown, Paul Cassell, William Bishop, Scott Moreau, Howard Kuo, Bryson McCain. Organist was Dr. Carol Eich and trumpeter was David L. Thomas. The guestbook was attended by Elizabeth Roles and Laura Wilhelm. The bride wore a gown of Alencon lace and antique satin with portrait neckline. She carried a nosegay of orchids, roses, and alstroemeria.

The bride is a daugther of Dr. and Mrs. James H. McCain, Jr. of Charleston, W. Va. She is a graduate of George Washington High School, Charleston, W. Va. and graduated from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. She is a graduate student (clinical psychology) at the University of Maryland.

The bridegroom, son of Dr. and Mrs. James R. Thomas, Jr. of Blacksburg, Va., is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and the University of Virginia. He is employed by Information Services Division of U.S.F.&G. Insurance Co. The newlyweds will live in Baltimore, Md. after the wedding trip to Bar Harbor, Maine.
