TICKET PRICES OFFSET PARKING

To Jack Bogaczyk:

As one of the owners of the Roanoke Express Hockey Club, I appreciated Jack Bogaczyk mentioning in his recent column the situation with paid parking at the Civic Center. As indicated, we with the Roanoke Express are aware that those of our fans who use this lot will be paying $2 per car which works out to approximately 50 cents per person (based on an average of four persons per vehicle).

his is one of the reasons we made sure thousands of good seats would be available at $6 per person for adults and $4 for children and senior citizens. This is $1 less than last year so even with the parking charge, the overall cost of an exciting evening of hockey for a family of four will be $2 less! (We hope of course, our fans will spend that extra money on Express merchandise or decide to attend more games.) We also guarantee that unlike last year, we'll be providing our ticket-buyers money's worth with a competitive, tough and exciting team, along with many special promotions and events.
