OBIT WILLIAMS, FRANCIS SCOGIN

WILLIAMS, Francis Scogin, 73, of Route 1, Vinton, passed away Saturday, June 26, 1993. He was a World War II veteran and was retired from the N&W Railroad. Surviving are three sons, Francis J. Williams of Route 1, Vinton, Ronald L. Williams of Route 4, Vinton, James S. Williams of Vinton; two brothers, Woodrow Williams of Vryden and Eugene S. Williams of Roanoke; one sister, Helen W. Milton of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Stacy Lynn Williams and Shane Lee Williams. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 28, 1993, from Sherwood Memorial Park. Rev. Elmer Clemons will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Lotz Vinton Chapel.
