OBIT-MCVEY, CLARA HEFFINGER

McVEY, Clara Heffinger, 90, of Roanoke, died Monday, June 28, 1993. She was a member of the Grandview Heights Church of the Nazarene and was preceded in death by a son, Charles W. McVey. Surviving are her husband, Roby McVey; son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Linda McVey, Roanoke County; daughter-in-law, Chris McVey, Roanoke County; two grandchildren, Heather Lynn McVey, Arlington, Robin H. McVey, Lawrenceville, Ga.; five stepgrandchildren, Richard S. Jones, Atlanta, Ga., David E. Jones, Houston, Texas, Christine Ouellette, New Castle, Brian S. Anderson, Brent J. Anderson, both of Stewartsville; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Britney Smith, Joshua Ouellette, Scott Jones, Destiny Jones; four sisters, Ellen Leonard, Augusta, Ga., Susie Hopkins, Marion, Alice Perkins, West Grove, Pa., Bessie Alley, New Jersey; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Freeman J. Hamrick officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
