OBIT-MAJKOWSKI, EDITH SHOPLAND
MAJKOWSKI, Edith Shopland, 76, of Route 2, Penhook, died at her residence,
Monday, June 28, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred
Shopland and Adam J. Majkowski, and son David Shopland. Surviving are two sons
and daughters-in-law, Peter Fredrick and Sybil Shopland of Newark, Del., John
Herbert and Patricia Shopland of Rocky Mount; one sister, Dorothy Jahn of
Demarest, N.J.; also nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral
services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Lynch Chapel by J.D. Hunt,
Minister and friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday
where the family will receive friends from 7 till 9 p.m. The family suggest
that memorials be given to the Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she
was a member for ten years.
