OBIT GUNN, ROLAND DAVIS SR.

GUNN, Roland Davis Sr. ("Pete"), 72, of 317 Locust Avenue, Dublin, died Sunday morning, July 18, 1993, at his home. Born in Pulaski County July 26, 1920, he was the son of the late Robert C. Gunn and Nora Alice Byrd Gunn. He was associated with Coleman Furniture Corporation for 37 years, as vice president of administration. He was a member and former Elder of New Dublin Presbyterian Church, and had taught Sunday school. He was a past member of the Dublin Town Council. He was a veteran of World War II with the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Jean White Gunn; four sons, Roland Davis Gunn Jr., Burk, Robert M. Gunn, Dublin, Ralph W. Gunn, Dublin, Randal B. Gunn, Fredericksburg; four brothers, Curtis Gunn, Richmond, Rhea Gunn, South Boston, Russell Gunn, Mt. Holly, N.C., Richard Gunn, Richmond; two sisters, Emma G. Cauthen, Pulaski, Mrs. Donald (Mabel) McLeod, Dublin; six grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the New Dublin Presbyterian Cemetery, with Rev. Benton J. Trawick and Rev. J. Kearfott Boyd officiating. Visiting will be anytime Monday after 1 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
