CHARGES OF INSENSITIVITY DENIED

REGARDING recent accusations that pro-lifers care only about the unborn and not about children already born:

Have the accusers heard of the Christian Children's Fund, Catholic Family Services, Catholic adoption agencies, Christian missionaries, orphanages or foster care for abused, hungry and unwanted children? Apparently not! Either that or they refuse to give credit for these efforts.

I challenge pro-choicers to stop spreading lies and get the facts straight. I know many Christians who on a monthly basis support underprivileged children and families, and who pay their tithes and offerings to their church so the poor will be fed, clothed and families' needs can be met.

Of course, many non-Christians support these needed charities, too. Almost everyone wants to help people in some way, to do good deeds and feel good about helping others.

But what a weak and false argument for pro-abortionists to say that pro-lifers don't care about born children. People fighting for abortion rights should be ashamed for being so hateful toward those who care about all human beings, including a woman in a crisis pregnancy. Abortion clearly is an issue of murder. It hurts and destroys both woman and child. ANGELA THOMPSON SHAWSVILLE
