OBIT SHEPHERD, WILLIAM EARNEST (WILL)
SHEPHERD, William Earnest (Will), 56, of Blacksburg, died Monday, July 26,
1993, at his home. Mr. Shepherd was a native of San Diego, Calif. and was an
associate professor of landscape architecture at Virginia Tech. Surviving are
seven children; Debora Lynn Shepherd, Justine Marie Nathanson, Jamie Meg
Shepherd, Katherine Margaret Shepherd, Christen Eugene Shepherd, James Andrew
Shepherd, Daniel Quitian Shepherd; his father, Clatter Eugene Shepherd; one
sister, Ruth Hagan; one brother, Robert Shepherd; three grandchildren, all of
the West Coast. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 29, at 4 p.m.
in the Virginia Tech War Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Herbert Hobbs
officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to
the Va. Tech Foundation to be sent to Development Officer, College of
Architecture and Urban Studies, Attn: Ms. Stafford, 202 Cowgill Hall,
Blacksburg, Va. 24061-0205. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home.
