GILMORE-MCDANIEL

Melissa McDaniel and David Craig Gilmore were married July 31, 1993 in First Presbyterian Church by Rev. Robert D. Smith. The reception was held at The Radisson Patrick Henry Hotel. The maid of honor was Faye Ellenburg. The matron of honor was Jenny Gray Brown. The bridesmaids were Molly McDaniel, sister of the bride, Melanie Porterfield, sister of the bride, Mary Lynn Bowers, and Sara Quisenberry. The best man was Richard E. Gilmore, father of the groom. The ushers were Geoffrey K. Gilmore, brother of the groom, Thomas R. Schroeder, Thomas W. Erwin, Ian S. Crookenden and John D. Dove III. The guestbook was attended by Ms. Julie Smith.

The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Ellen McDaniel of Roanoke and Mr. G. A. McDaniel of Troutdale. She is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Longwood College. She is employed by Lynchburg City Schools. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Gilmore of Roanoke, is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Washington and Lee University. He is employed by Monroe Systems for Business. The newlyweds will live in Lynchburg after the wedding trip to Cape Cod.
