OBIT CREGGER, OPAL SMITH

CREGGER, Opal Smith, 67, of Salem, died August 18, 1993. She is survived by her husband, Clark M. Cregger Jr.; mother-in-law, Jennie Cregger, Salem; sons and daughter-in-law, Clark III and Suzette Cregger, Snellville, Ga., Mark Cregger, Vinton; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Joseph Rutherford, Deborah and Clark Wade, all of Salem; brother, L. C. Smith, Bowie, Texas; sisters, Bess Gaut, Roanoke, Eula Wilson, Arizona, Beulah Higbee, Arizona; grandchildren, Cristi LaPrad, Dara H. Rutherford, Shonda and Clark Cregger IV, Stephen and Phillip Wade; numerous friends and other family members. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the Salem Church of Christ, West Main Street, with Mr. Jim Herron and Mr. Roy Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Memorials may be made to the Salem Church of Christ Youth Fund.
