CLARK, Johnny Willie (Jewel), 67, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, August 23, 1993. Survivors include his wife, Margie Clark, Roanoke; six daughters, Marilyn (Preston) Moore, Oklahoma City, Okla., Virginia C. Proax, Toby (Jesse) Brown, Kathy S. Shipman, all of Roanoke, Shirley Saunders, New York, N.Y., Debby Saunders, Dallas, Texas; three sons, Alphonza Clark, John (Sandra) Saunders, all of Roanoke, Wayne Saunders, Dallas, Texas; one stepson, William Bumbry, Roanoke; one daughter-in-law, Gaynail Saunders, Roanoke; three sisters, Mildred Clark, Anita C. Bass, both of Roanoke, Inez C. (James) Wilson, Milwaukee, Wis.; one brother, Clarence (Juanita) Clark, Roanoke; one sister-in-law, Susie B. Clark, Roanoke; three aunts, Mrs. Elizabeth Hamler, Miss Martha Clark, both of East Orange, N.J., Eva (Jack) Daniels, Roanoke; a devoted nephew, Jesse (Jackie) Bass, Roanoke; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis Chapel, with Rev. Joseph Keaton and Rev. Ivory Morton officiating, with burial in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
