SOME TICKETS LEFT FOR UVA'S HOME OPENER

Approximately 1,500 tickets remained Friday for Virginia's football game against Navy at 1 p.m. today at Scott Stadium.

Tickets for the Cavaliers' home opener are $18 for adults and $8 for youngsters 18 and under on the north hillside. Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. at University Hall, with any remaining tickets available at the stadium after 11 a.m.

Freshman Tisha Truman scored two goals to lead the Virginia Tech women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over the College of Charleston at the Campbell University BB&T Kickoff Tournament in Buies Creek, N.C.

Tech (2-0) will face Georgia Southern, an 8-0 loser to Campbell, at 2 p.m. today in the round-robin event.

Junior forward Andy Smith knocked in three goals as Roanoke College whipped Ursinus 5-1 in the Domino's Classic at River's Edge Park. Roanoke (2-1) plays Beaver, an 8-0 loser to UNC Greensboro, at 8 p.m. today.
