ALEXANDER-AUSTIN

Michelle R. Austin and Mark C. Alexander were married September 25, 1993, at Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Stephen R. Creech officiating the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Gerald and Judith Austin, and the granddaughter of Betty Hodges and Melissa Austin. The groom is the son of Roy and Linda Alexander, and the grandson of Louise Petty. All are of Roanoke.

Kimberly Perry of Alexandria, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cherie Austin, Sharon Austin, Tamara Key, and Tiffany Simmons. Flower girls were Chancee and Lacee Simmons.

Roy Alexander was best man for his son, and groomsmen were Eric Alexander, Will Harris, III, Brian Powell, and James VanCleaf. Ringbearers were Lee and Tommy Harris.

Wedding music was provided by David and Jerry Austin, vocalists; Chris Coleman and Tania Conner, pianists. The guestbook attendant was Bonnie Newcomb, and programs were distributed by David Newcomb and Jason Hannah. Susan Ayers was the wedding director, and photography was by Jim Markey.

Mark graduated from Virginia Western with an Associate's degree in Architectural Technology and is employed by Hayes, Seay, Mattern & Mattern, Inc. Michelle graduated with a B.B.A. degree from Roanoke College, and is employed by the Bank of Buchanan.

Both Mark and Michelle wish to thank their wonderful family and friends for sharing their special day with them. They will live in Buchanan, after a wedding trip to Miami and the Bahamas.
