The full ballgown skirt of taffeta had a sweep train, and the waist featured a back bow with alencon lace appliques. She carried a cascading bouquet of white freesia, blush roses, purple statice, pink mini carnations and rose alstrameri.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lewis LaBell, of Harrisonburg, Virginia. He graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and the Virginia Military Institute. He is employed by Alt & Witzig Engineering in Lafayette, Indiana.

A program of music was presented by Michael Sloan and Sister Elaine LaBell, soloist. The guest book was attended by Betty LaBell Keen, aunt of the groom, and Gloria Hodge Carter, friend of the bride. The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening at Moody Hall on the VMI post.

Following the ceremony, a luncheon reception was hosted by the bride's parents in the Jefferson Ballroom at Hotel Natural Bridge.
