LAKE-BOWLES

Elizabeth Walton Bowles and John William Lake were united in marriage on September 25, 1993, in Virginia Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Daniel Scott officiating. The reception was held at Hunting Hills Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Elwood Bowles of Roanoke. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Eugene Lake of Ashland, Virginia.

The maid of honor was Jill Allison Hartnett of Richmond, Virginia. Bridesmaids were Anne Stuyvesant Dudley of San Francisco, California, Victoria Beall Buckley of Baltimore, Maryland, Jennifer Kristin Wright of Roanoke and Laura Carolyn Riggin of Annapolis, Maryland.

The best man was Godfrey Eugene Lake, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Paul Clayman Bowles of Roanoke, brother of the bride, Thomas Swepston Herbert VII of Ashland, Virginia, Godfrey Eugene Lake, Jr., of Richmond, Virginia, brother of the groom, and David Coleman Williams of Baltimore, Maryland.

The bride is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Randolph-Macon College. She is employed by Henrico Doctors Hospital.

The groom is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School-Ashland and the University of Richmond. He is associated with Paramount Parks, Incorporated.

Following a wedding trip to Bermuda, the couple will make their home in Richmond, Virginia.
