MILLS-BRANTLEY

Kathleen Hunt Brantley and Malachi Monroe Mills, III, were married Saturday, September 25, at the Confederate Memorial Chapel in Richmond, by Chaplain (Colonel) Charles C. Caudill of Virginia Military Institute.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Brantley of Newport News. A 1986 graduate of Roanoke College, she is an investment executive with Ferguson, Andrews and Associates in Roanoke.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Malachi M. Mills of Gloucester. He is a 1983 graduate of Virginia Military Institute, and is executive vice president of Jordan Consulting Engineers, Inc. in Richmond.

Jeanne Brantley Murray was her sister's matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Kathleen Mills Lee, sister of the groom, Sally Anne Badgley and Sally Lee Roberts. Amanda Marie Lee and Jessica Marie Lee, nieces of the bridegroom were junior bridesmaids.

Malachi M. Mills was his son's best man. Groomsmen were Robert Edward Lee, III, brother-in-law of the groom,Calvin Lee Murray, III, brother-in-law of the bride, Joseph John Lasek, III and James Edward Barends. Carter LeeMurray, nephew of the bride, was junior groomsman.

Anne-Claire Marie Murray, the bride's niece, was flower girl, and Cameron Richard Murray, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

A reception was held at the Blair House in Richmond. After a wedding trip to Bermuda, the couple will reside in Richmond.
