PANTHERS FALL 16-13

Travis Hyatt threw two touchdowns passes Saturday as Lees-McRae overcame a 13-point first-quarter deficit to defeat Ferrum 16-13 in college football.

Hyatt, who completed 14 of 25 for 166 yards, threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Davis in the first quarter and a 4-yarder to Mike Morton with 10 minutes, 59 seconds left that proved to be the difference.

The Panthers scored two touchdown less than five minutes into the game to take a 13-0 lead. James Williams caught a 71-yard scoring pass from Milliard Vining and Darrell Durante added a 9-yard touchdown run. \
