ALL INVITED TO TRY PIPESTEM RUN-WALK

The Southern West Virginia Road Runners Club and Pipstem Resort State Park are sponsoring the 16th Annual 10,000-Meter Pipestem Pumpkin Run on Oct. 17.

The yearly event will also feature the fifth annual 5,000-meter walk and a 1,500-meter fun run for children 12 and younger.

The runs will be held at the Pipestem, W.Va., Resort State Park, located about 20 miles north of Princeton, W.Va., on West Virginia 20.

Registration can be made in advance or beginning at noon on the day of the race at the golf clubhouse of the resort.

The early registration fees are $7 for the 10K and $4 for the 5K walk. The same-day fees are $10 for the 10K and $6 for the walk. The children's fun run is $2 without a T-shirt, $6 with the T-shirt.

The 10K race will have awards in age categories and overall. The walk will give awards only to the top three overall.
